How to Establish a Cohesive Brand Across Social Media Platforms

June 17, 2014 By Ignite Visibility

header

When setting up all your social media profiles, it’s important for them to be cohesive in terms of branded images, business information, content and more.

Images

Your images on all your social profiles should be similar and representative of your brand. Your logo should always be the profile photo.

Here is a cheat sheet for the recommended dimension sizes for each social media platform.

Facebook

Cover Photo 851×315

Profile Photo 180×180

Twitter

Header 1500×500

Profile Photo 400×400

LinkedIn

Profile Photo 200×200

Cover Photo 646×220

Pinterest

Profile Photo 600×600

Instagram

Profile Photo 161×161

YouTube

Profile Photo 800×800

Channel Art 2560×1224

Information

Your information for each platform should be thorough and completely filled out. Consistent phone number, address and web data that match is essential across all platforms.

Content

Keep your content natural, fun and only occasionally focused on what you’re trying to sell or market.

Abide by an 80-20 Rule: Post 80% Fun Content or Industry News and 20% Business information.

Here’s a guide for how often you should post:

Facebook

Min: Once a Week

Max:  Once a Day

Twitter

Min: Once a Day

Max: 3-4 Times a day

LinkedIn:

Min: Once a Week

Max: Once a Day

Instagram:

Min: Once a Week

Max: 3 Times a Week
