Pinterest Ads Go Live, Promoted Pins to Rock Social Media Marketing

Busy week for social media advertising… Yesterday, Instagram announced that they would be delivering ads and today Pinterest finally pushed their long anticipated ad platform live.

Promoted Pins, as they call them, are much like Twitter’s promoted Tweets and Facebook’s Promoted Posts. Each of these services ensures greater visibility for pieces of content on the social media websites. The Promoted Pins will blend in with the other Pinterest content, however, they will have a very small Promoted Pin call out. Let’s take a look.

According to Mashable, “Ben Silbermann, co-founder and CEO of Pinterest, said Pinterest is only exploring promoted pins with “select businesses” for now, but we can expect a broader rollout in the near future.”
