Links are just as important to search engine optimization as they ever were. But the times are changing and so is the way Google evaluates links. Here at Ignite Visibility we have just finished a round of extensive research into new link building techniques, and boy of boy do we have some effective new strategies. In this blog we will touch on some important points.

Throw your Old Linking Techniques out the Door

Everyone is pretty clear on this, text link ads and paid blogger ads just do not work as well after the Google Penguin (webspam) update. We always shied away from these anyways. As an honest SEO company we knew at some point it would come back and really hurt the companies recommending these tactics to clients. Now, the black hat SEO companies are paying and our clients are back in top spots.

All the sites profiting off paid text link ads and blogger ads are now in big trouble. Google has sent them notifications of unnatural links and many have lost BIG traffic. This is tough for the companies who didn’t know that their SEO company was using these techniques… But with the right strategies they can get back in the index with that same website; unless of course they cannot remove the element creating the penalty.

The New World of Linking for Search Engine Optimization

Obviously we are not going to tell you our exact new strategies. But, anything that looks paid for will get your in trouble and anything that does not will get you the first page rankings. It’s all about a great mix of social media, commenting, blogging and press releases. By creating these linking relationships with the right websites in a white hat way you will prosper in Google.
