Facebook launched embedded post and now Google + has added this functionality. Similar to a YouTube video, Google + users can now copy embed code and paste their post right into an article. This will make the post show up in the article. The post will be fully functional, in that it can be +1ed and shared.

To embed a post from Google +, simply hover over the post and click the arrow pointing down.
